Adult from side

A small songbird, with black-striped yellow chest, red and yellow face, black-and-white stripes on the wing, a yellow rump, and a grey cap on the head. Males are brightly colored in the breeding season, duller in the off-season. Females similar to duller males. Immatures may lack yellow.

Breeds and summers in Canad; winters in the Caribbean. Only graces the Park when passing through. Hence we will only see the duller plumage in Wildwood.
