Adult moth

A small moth, about an inch wide. Wings white,with dark brown zebra stripes. Forewing alos has prominent dark brown oval spots with white centers. Body white, zebra-striped with orange marking near rear. Legs white, zebra-striped. Flies in summer.

A truly elegant moth, outfitted for the most formal of parties. A rarer, more southern species, C. concinnalis, looks almost the same, but the three endmost stripes on the forewing are equally spaced.
