Cat's Ear, Hypochoeris radicata
(also spelled Hypochaeris)
Asteraceae or Sunflower Family

Short plant with dandelion-like flowers. Leaves mostly basal, long ovak, lobed or cut on the sides, very hairy on both surfaces. Stems usually branched and with a few very small scale-like leaves. Blooms in summer.

Alien weed. Occasional in disturbed areas of the Park, as well as in lawns and on roadsides outside the Park.

Common dandelion is very similar, but the leaves are hairless and the flowerstalks have no scales and do not branch. Autumn dandelion is even more similar, but the leaves are not hairy.
