A variation on the familiar daffodil. Flower with a short, orange saucer in front of six white petals forming a frill. Leaves long, strap-like typical of daffodils. Blooms in spring.
Exotic. Commonly cultivated, and sometimes escaping. In Wildwood, occasional on the lower east slope, near the bikeway.
True daffodils that have escaped into the Park have longer trumpets instead of saucers and are all daffodil yellow. |
