Rabbit-foot Clover, Trifolium
arvense
Fabaceae or Pea Family
Low, sprawling plant. Leaves, small, stalkless with 3 leaflets. Leaflets narrow, covered with silky hairs. Flowers in dense heads, gray or pinkish gray, fuzzy. Heads resemble rabbit foot charms.
Weedy alien from Eurasia. Prefers sunny fields,
lawns and roadsides. In Wildwood, occasional along the
Bikeway and in the south meadow.
There are a number of weedy clovers in the park. This one is easily identified by its fuzzy flowerhead.
