Small plant with showy white funnel-shaped, terminal flowers that turn pink
with age. The flowers have 3 petals and 3 green sepals behind them.
Lower down is a whorl of three roundish leaves with long pointed tips.
Occasional in the woods on both slopes of the Park.
The combination of 3-petalled flowers and a whorl of three leaves
is distinctive of trilliums. It could be mistaken for other
white-flowered trilliums, but none have yet been reported from the
Park. |
