Yellow Day Lily, Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus (formerly H. flava)

Erect plant with long narrow leaves and large, showy, yellow, lily-like flowers.  Blooms early summer.  Fruit a capsule with black seeds.

An introduced weed, originally a garden ornamental.  In Wildwood it can be found here and there in open places.

Orange day lily (Hemerocallis fulva) is very similar, but has orange flowers and blooms a little later.
